It is already well known that calcium is necessary for strong healthy bones. But calcium also fights fat absorption. Studies reveal that calcium blocks fat storage in fat cells.
Now, more studies by Canadian researchers at the University of Laval show that taking calcium and vitamin D supplements while on a weight-loss program lowers the risk of cardiovascular disease.
